Nazmi KARYAĞDI

He was born in 1968 in Gaziantep. After passing the entrance exam in 1993, he was appointed as Assistant Account Specialist at the Ministry of Finance, and after passing the qualifying exam, he was appointed as Account Specialist in 1996 and Chief Account Specialist in 2003.

He graduated from Kütahya Emet High School and Gazi University, Faculty of Economics and Administrative Sciences, Department of Finance.

Between 2003 and 2005, he completed his master's degree in Financial Economics at Boston University in the USA.

In 2003, he served as Vice President of the Higher Education Center for Finance. During this period, he was responsible for the implementation of the Finance Quality Management Project, which was initiated in order to spread Total Quality Management in the Ministry of Finance.

Since October 2005, he has worked at the Revenue Administration, first as Group Head of Revenue Administration in the field of taxpayer services, and then as Head of Audit and Compliance Management Department and Head of Strategy Development Department.

He continued his career as Tax Implementation Coordinator at Türk Telekomünikasyon A.Ş. between August 2010 and January 2018.

He continues his professional life at Yeni Ekonomi Danışmanlık A.Ş. and BTNK Yeminli Mali Müşavirlik Ltd. Şti. where he is a founding partner for the institutionalization of family companies.

Nazmi Karyağdı has numerous articles published in various journals and newspapers on tax law, accounting, capital markets, total quality management, management and finance.

He participated as a speaker in many national and international panels, congresses and symposiums on "Total Quality Management and Taxpayer Services in Revenue Administration" and as a trainer in training programs of some public institutions.

He was responsible for and implemented the "Finance Quality Management" project at the Ministry of Finance, the "Taxpayer and Employee Oriented Transformation Project at the Revenue Administration", the "Tax Communication Center Project - 444 0 189" and the "Taxpayer Services Center", and was the project manager of the EFQM Excellence Model based project "Implementation of Total Quality Management at the Revenue Administration" funded by European Union funds.

Since March 2012, he has been publishing monthly articles in ICT Tax column with Bülent Taş in ICT Media, one of the leading magazines of the IT sector.

He is currently the Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Turkish Quality Association-KalDer Ankara Branch.

Nazmi Karyağdı is married and has one child.
