TURKISH Informatics Review 2023 Science Fiction Story Contest

TURKISH Informatics Review 2023 Science Fiction Story Contest

Dear Authors

We are here with an exciting announcement! This year marks the 25th anniversary of the TBD Science Fiction Story Contest. In this long journey we have made so far, we have explored the endless valleys of the science fiction world waiting to be discovered together with you and turned our dreams into literary reality. Twenty-five years ago, when we started this contest, we had a goal: To push the boundaries of the science fiction universe, to reach new horizons of imagination, to offer readers unique experiences and to bring new works to our literature.

Indeed, many talented writers who have participated in our contest since 1998 have made us think about science, technology, time, space, life and disasters, and excited us with various plots. In their stories, we saw the dark and light sides of our souls.

As TBD, we have published four contest selection books and published more than fifty contest stories in the Journal of Informatics. Some of our writers who participated in the contest later published their stories in books and our science fiction literature has gained new works.

In this process, your interest in the contest and the wholehearted support of our selection committees always gave us strength. In addition, our love for Turkish, our human-oriented approach to technology and our belief in dreams have always kept us alive.

In our twenty-fifth year, we sincerely thank all the authors, jury members and science fiction readers who participated in our contest.

Our call is the same this year: To write stories about science, technology and human beings in the world.

We look forward to reading your stories.
