Turkish Informatics Association Van Branch was established on July 25, 2018 and the first General Assembly was held on January 23, 2019 at İpekyolu Municipality Conference Hall. As a result of the elections held at the first General Assembly, the 1st Term Board of Directors, Audit and Honor Boards were determined, and the team headed by Prof. Dr. Murat Çetin RAGBETLİ was unanimously elected as the Chairman of the Board of Directors.
The Turkish Informatics Association, in partnership with İpekyolu Municipality, launched the "Digital İpekyolu Workshop "65 Vanites Coding the Future Project" (www.gelecegikodlayan65vanli.com) on July 27, 2018 in Van with the support of the Eastern Anatolia Development Agency, which will set an example for the digital transformation of our country. The project has started to make an impact in Van and in Turkey. The management of TBD Van Branch consists of young people and experts from different disciplines. TBD Van aims to become the "Informatics Base" of the countries in the region as it aims to develop with informatics in Eastern Anatolia. With the suggestions and contributions of our esteemed informaticians, we invite you to transform the informatics light we have lit in the east into an informatics torch together.

Our Summit has been postponed to a later date due to the earthquake disaster affecting 10 provinces, especially Kahramanmaraş.
